| "A cat day - an exposition that worths for 7 lives" |
Aiming at calling the public attention to the problem of stray animals, Arca Brasil organized, in November 1999, the photographic exhibition called "Um Dia de Gato" (A Cat Day). Felines were chosen as the theme of the exhibition since they are frequently abused and victims of prejudice in Brazil. Well-renowned Brazilian photographers donated cat pictures, together with journalists, designers, ad executives and volunteers who also joined in, contributing to a successful result.
This acclaimed exhibition was held at Conjunto Nacional, in São Paulo, attracting thousands of visitors and making headlines in the main newspapers and magazines of the country.
During the exhibition, Arca Brasil kept an information booth for visitors, where merchandising was available for sale: the Postcard Book, with pictures of the exhibition, shirts, caps, stickers, buttons and posters. All items can be viewed at www.arcabrasil.org.br/produtos.htm. Please send your inquiries to arcabrasil@arcabrasil.org.br. Sales proceeds go to Arca Brasil's animal welfare projects.
