Cockgate: surprise and suspicion

In december 22nd, 2004 the State Director of the Environmental Federal Police that headed the whole operation was also transferred from his office.

The move increased suspicion of pressures within the Federal Police to stifle the case. "It's dismaying. Just when we hoped justice would be made", said ARCA Brasil's Marco Ciampi.
